Transition Towns
Oil will eventually run out and the recent predictions for climate change from our own Met Office is that the earth will warm by 40C, not by 2100 as originally thought but by 2050. We need an alternative to fossil fuel use and we will all have to adjust to a greatly reduced ‘carbon lifestyle’.
Transition Towns are in the vanguard of searching for and applying locally relevant carbon reduced lifestyles. The movement has suddenly burgeoned with some 600 plus communities worldwide.
This workshop will examine the movement and provide knowledge of the approach that is currently being taken by one such local community.
